our magazine that is for and about our members, our most treasured resource.   
Please check your subscription date, because it is time to RENEW to insure you will 
continue to get your magazine.   Remember there is no deadline on RENEWALS and 
you can RENEW at any time to continue to receive your beautiful magazine for 
members only.   
You can renew (or submit first subscription) by   
1) Calling International at 816-444-6800 and asking for the Torch office.   
2) Find subscription form on our website under Downloads and print out a copy.

Important Announcements!

Important information about Tax forms:
Some chapters have questions about our tax status. Beta Sigma Phi is not a tax exempt organization. Most chapters do not make enough to interest the IRS and what they do make they spend on deductible expenses. We do not need to fill out the 990 form as that is for TAX EXEMPT organizations, we have a statement from our accountants about that on the download page. If you have questions as to whether your chapter or council should file tax forms, please contact a local tax consultant. Historically, most chapters don't make enough to be considered but only you all know how much your chapter makes so no blanket statement can cover all chapters.

THE TORCH is posted on line but we cannot email it directly to members because of the size of the file. We will be doing announcement emails when it is published but you need to go the THE TORCH on line in order to get the new issues. Remember, you can get the printed TORCH by subscription.

What Is New!

Please continue to let us know what you'd like to see added or enhanced. We have lots of ideas to keep us busy but we want this to be responsive to you. We have had many, many great comments, thanks for that, keep returning to see what new things might be happening.
